Sometimes it is very usefull to filter the data for the data set used by a chart in a BIRT report, especially for grouping reports with charts and tables side by side. In this case the report only can use one data set which both chart and table is using in paralell. Often you do not want the same level of detail in the chart and therefore want to use the filter when defining the chart.
I have seen that a filter when defining which data set to use (in my case the report set) only filter the list in the define window but not when previewining the report. Is this a known bugg? Is there a workaround?
