date with calculator

Hi, I try to calculcate a month number from a date with the function 'Month of date A'
the input field is from the type date (iso format)
at the column "new field" I define a new field name: maand.
at the column "Field A" I select the input field datum
at the column "value type" i select 'Integer'


I get the message: 'Unexpected error in 'processing functionMonth of dat A[img]/wiki/images/newpage.gif ("")[/url] for field maand: java.lang.NullPointerException



Am i doing something wrong?

Hi Matt,



I came across this same error yesterday... I am running a very recent version of 2.3 and what seems to happen is that if the date field is null then this error is popped. It would work better if it just skipped the row when there is no data (put no data in the new field). We tried this on a couple of our date columns.
