version of javascript (rhino)

what version of rhino is js.jar?

I was trying to build kettle using the latest rhino (1.6R5) (so i
could look at sources in eclipse) but found that
ScriptValuesDialogMod.java would not compile as the constructor for
Parser has changed.

Would it make sense to update kettle with the lastest rhino?

The version of Rhino in Kettle is currently "Rhino 1.5R5". As you
state yourself it's not just replacing the js.jar, some other small
things need to be changed in the code as well.

Personally I would wait until a couple of weeks before the 3.0
release... if you update it now it will make that people can't
overwrite kettle.jar with a patched version.
