Hello,
i'm evaluating Pentaho BI Server to consider it for a client we have to address in our near future;
I have installed both the Pentaho bi-server 2.0 and the BI-Platform 1.7.0.1062 in my Linux machine, to evaluate stability, performance, and functionality of them both.
I am experimenting some problem while trying to schedule a Report with some customizable parameters(Daily, Monthly, date, et all...)
With bi-server 2.0, after having published my metadata models and views with success, i have also created via web-frontend, some effective reports, with measures and aggregation field; BUT anytime i try to schedule one of them, i am experimenting some error message, most of the time they don't show any message, to undarstand any cause of the problem...the result is that i cannot see any of my report scheduled in the workspace, and that's not good :-(
With bi-platform 1.7.0.1062, when i try to open the Subscription administration page, it doesn't show the command button i expected, as documented in the wiki, but it simply show a message error like this:
"Use this page to create and manage subscriptions, subscription schedules and scheduled jobs
Required parameters were not provided, missing -
Building the admin page -
could not execute query
"
That doesn't let me try any other test, with the scheduling a report feature for both the versions. I feel like it is a resolveble problem, but haven't understood how to procede.
Could you please give me some precious suggestion to continue my evaluation of the Pentaho potential?
