Question Connecting Schema Workbench with HSQLDB

    Hello all,

I have just download the most recent version of the BI Platform and Schema Workbench and unzipped it. I'm trying to connect Schema Workbench to the sample data in HSQLDB, only to become familiar with Schema Workbench. I found the connection details in Administration Console - URL jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://localhost:9001/sampledata, pentaho_user, etc, tested it on Admin Console and it works.

On Schema Workbench -> Options -> Connection, I don't see HSQLDB nor HyperSQL on the Connection Type list. Using "generic database" with the above configurations, I get:
    Error connecting to database [HSQLDB-NEURO19-SampleData] : org.pentaho.di.core.exception.KettleDatabaseException:
Error occured while trying to connect to the database

    Exception while loading class
    org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver

    What am I missing?

You will need to download the jdbc driver for that type of database and save it it the following folder or something like it on your system.

    C:\[your-path]\psw-ce-3.5.0\schema-workbench\drivers
    pdi-ce-4.4.0-stable
    Java 1.7 (64 bit)
    MySQL 5.6 (64 bit)
    Windows 7 (64 bit)
