Reports of Multidimensional Data

Hi all!

Can I create reports of multidimensional data with Pentaho Report Designer?

I have cubes and dimensions already created with Oracle Wareouse Builder. Can they be my source?

Hi,

if your OLAP provider offers an XMLA/MDX interface, it should be possible to hook it into the plattform. (If not, then it is still possible, but you'll have to do the coding of the interfaces. Surely not a quick and easy thing to do.)

For crosstabs you can use the Report-Wizard to generate static reports or follow the 'dynamic crosstab' techtip for a 100% dynamic solution.

Built-in crosstabbing in the engine itself is on our roadmap, however it will take some time to implement it.
