OpenOffice calc ods file format support

Hi,

I have data to create for a datawarehouse project because they are in a format that can not be parsed.

I have searched for the best data format to use and finally choose an open format : OpenOffice Calc ods

In Pentaho Data Integration I can't import ods data.
Is there a way to import ods files in PDI ?

Nope, not yet directly.

In theory you can do this. The ODS file is actually a zip file that contains various other files. In the zip file you will find a content.xml that has the data in it. You could use the XML input step to read data from this file.

We have a similar problem - but as of now we are using open office to save it as xls file and use the excel import. Not as good as direct import but works.

Any idea on when ods support will be included?
