No I havent solved this issue
. I have also tried on 4.0.1 and is still having the same error.
The strange thing is that on the "Preview this transformation" it works, I mean I receive the information correctly, but when run the Transformation, is sending all the information as 1. For example instead of saving on the table the sender of the email, I have a "1"
Can someone help us ???!!!!
Thanks in advance

Hi Abadi,
I could retrieve mail using job. In Kettle, there is a job where you can retrieve complete mail along with an attachment. Just check it out, it might be helpful.
Let me know in case if you have any questions.
Thanks

Hi wvaibhav!
Thanks for the info!, it's true and Im using that one, but the problem is that in the case of the Job, I have to save the email as a file and if I want to know how has sent the message, or the time, or who are on copy, I need to analyse that file and Im having problems validating it, so when I saw in the Transformation side, that I can pull all this information directly, I was amazed, but it didnt worked for me
Even though thanks for the comment.

Is there a solution ?
I have the same problem.
Pentaho dont saves the correct Field description and he always takes the "message number " as output!

I used to run all of my Jobs directly from the Repository, but I found that if I run this Transformation as a file (not from the Repository) then it works perfectly well!!!!
So my solution was NOT to use the repository for that specific Transformation. To tell you the truth, I dont like this solution, but it works
My feeling is that it is a bug!
I hope this can solve your issue too.
I am now using Kettle - PDI 4.1.3-r15048

Ok Nice catch
Created a bug
The fix is available in :
- PDI 4.0.3
- PDI 4.1.4
- PDI 4.2
Thanks a lot for your support and enjoy PDI :-)
