    Lightbulb Starting with CDE

    Hello everyone,

I just started out working with pentaho CE. I was able to create my dashboard with CDF. Now I decided to give it a go with CDE so I can see what it really does. The problem with this is that I can not get it to work...

I downloaded CDE. Extracted everything in the solution folder overwritten all the files. Restarted my server and went to 'new CDE dashboard'. I saw a page with some links on the top. However all the links were disabled except for "reload", but that did not do anything.

What am I doing wrong here ? Am I missing something ?

I am using: Pentaho BI Suite 3.7 And CDE-bundle-1.0-RC3

Any help will be much appreciated !

    Hello Pedro,

First of, thanks for replying. I Appreciate it !

Second, I followed the steps by the letter, but unfortunately with the same result. Apparently my "workspace" is not showing for some reason.

    I took a screenshot:

    Added:

I activated firebug and saw a lot of errors. Most of them saying "jQuery is not defined". Which is somewhat confusing to me, because I am using jQuery in some of my solutions without any problems.

Here is a screenshot of the errors:

    Any ideas ?

Something's very wrong with your install. I've seen reports about users using winzip and having their files all screwed up, try 7zip

    Hello Pedro,

Wow, you are spot on. That was exactly the problem. After extracting with 7zip everything went just fine.

    Thanks for the help !
