Default Bug - > Patch, what's the process?

    Hi,

I've ran into an issue with reading ESRI shapefiles, it appears there is already a bug for it here:

    http://jira.pentaho.com/browse/PDI-4780

...and in fact it also seems there is a possible patch in the comments. What's the best way to get that patch into the source code? (Keeping in mind that I'm not a Java dev myself.)

It's explained in the sticky "Read me first" post.

Hrm, yes I actually read that first. I didn't see anything that seemed like an answer to my question though, thus I posted it here. So, I'm not really sure whether I should file another bug report, post a message to the mailing list, or whether I should give up because I'm not an enterprise customer.

The answer is most certainly in that post. However, it's quite possible you didn't like the reply :-)

I guess I'll cut my eval of Pentaho short then. Thanks Matt.
