Thread: Table component CDE Dashboard Editor

  1. #1

Default Table component CDF Dashboard Editor

    Hi all,

I'm using BI Server 3.8.0.stable.45256 and CDE-bundle-1.0-RC3 to create dashboards.

Does anyone know how I can NOT display the table component if there is no data returned? The data for the table component comes from a SQL query or mdx query.

    Thanks for the help.

    Regards.

You can use postFetch to test for the size of the resultset and hide / show contitionally

    Hi,

Thanks for the answer. I don't know how to test the size of the resultset, is there any function? and how can I hide/show the table, is there also any function?.

Sorry for my ignorance and thanks a lot for the help.

Just an idea: Execute another query on load time, which stores a count value in a variable. Check the variable before displying the table component. If the variable has no results (count == 0) then hide the table (toggle the visibility).

    Hi,

Thanks for the answer. My problem is that I don't know how to program a function. Is there any API or something like that where I can see the functions to use, for example, to know the number of results in a resultset?.

    Thanks for the help.

    Regards.
