Default Policy for backport changes to 4.2.1

    Hi guys

I'm making some changes to the Palo steps and it will be going into
trunk in the next couple of days. What is the policy for back porting
changes? When 4.2GA is released and the 4.2.1 branch is created, can
I back port the improvement/new features/bugs to the 2.1 branch? We
would like to run our production systems off a GA version.

I was also wondering if anyone is using Palo and could help me with
    further testing for backwards compatibility.

    Kind Regards,
    Pieter

It's indeed common practice to backport fixes to 3.2.5, 4.0.5 and 4.1.4.
4.2.1 will be no different. However, please keep in mind that as a general
rule of thumb we only accept small bug fixes to keep the point versions as
    stable as possible.

    Regards,
    Matt
