Default Using Schema in Dashboard Designer

    Hello.

I have been using dashboard designer for a little bit of time. I have been able to connect to databases easily and metadata files (xmi, csv...) as well.
I have a cube made up and I would like to use it in the dashboard designer. I have been able to use it in Analysis View and Analyzer Report Report Designer, CDF and of course schema workbench, but I can't seem to access it in Dashboard Designer or Interactive reports. I am not heavily up to speed with much of the technical details so I'm pretty sure this is just a simple misunderstanding on my part. I have researched a lot on Google, kb, forums, and the wiki and haven't found this problem addressed aside from

    http://www.sherito.org/2010/11/mondr...atasource.html

"Can I use OLAP4J datasources in the BI-Server? Sure. Just do it."

I was hoping there was a tutorial that would walk through this process specifically in dashboard designer so I know that I am doing this properly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sorry if this is in the wrong location... I have read the stickies to find an appropriate location. Please direct me to a proper location to address this.

In efforts to make this thread more helpful here are a few notes

    * I have my drivers in what appears to be correct locations
    org.olap4j.driver.xmla.XmlaOlap4jDriver is accessible after I pathed olap4j-xmla-1.0.1.500
the error message I had regarding this is resolved

    * I am confused a bit on how the url should be described in the user consol schema workbench datasource wizard (assuming this is where I need to be)
I have used jdbc:mysql://localhost:"my mysql port number of the database"/"name of the connection"
... This works but only imports my tables and forces me create joins (DBA's job? lol)

    * any other url I use results in a lack of data whatsoever. Test is ok however but doesn't include hostname or database name
    ...In schema workbench error message
    olap4j.olapException
    ex.. jdbc:xmla:Server=http://localhost:mysqlPortNumber;Catalog=catalogName;Cube=cubeName

    *published as a registered xmla

Anyone with any advice on this? I still haven't been able to find a solution to this. Is the cube allowed to be used in reporting tools within the PUC or is it strictly limited to the other metadata (xmi, cvs) and database tables.

Again any help is greatefully appreciated.
