Post Report based on logon Data

    Hi guys,

I'm not a user of Pentaho yet, I'm doing a little research here to know if the solution can be used to solve the company problems.

The company have more than a thousand filials, in each filial I've 3 different profiles (let's say, Admin, Manager and Clerk), and I've a management group that manages a few of these filials let's call this profile "Management Group".

Each time one of the employes (not the "Management Group") log in the pentaho I need it to JUST show the reports from their filial and none else. I've a proprietary security software that validates the users, and can return to pentaho the filial these employes are located.

The "Management Group" can view all of the reports from filials and can chose with filial he will see the report.

Can pentaho do that? And if it can, how?

I supose I can do a report that have a query that uses the "filial" the log provide. But how?

    Thx a lot.

go through this link ..this will help you.

    http://wiki.pentaho.com/display/Serv...sers+and+Roles

we can create users and their roles and set sharing property for particular reports..so that one report can be visible for one person and not for others.

    Thanks
