I succeeded in deploying Pentaho sample on Tomcat. And it worked. But I can not find the BI client like BIRT. :(
When will be your next release?

Excellent new. Did you have to remove any JARs or change any configuration files to deploy into Tomcat.

We are working on the BI client and expect the first version of it will be available next month.

You could try the standalone BIRT report designer directly from eclipse : http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/birt/downloads/drops/R-R1-1_0_1-200508091640/birt-rcp-report-designer-1_0_1.zip

There is a topic on how to deploy your own reports in the reporing area of the forum.

It is very easy to deploy Pentaho sample on Tomcat. I just modified the web.xml and changed the "solution-path" to the right point. Then it worked. I wrote one aritcle about it in Chinese. If you keep on going, I think there will be more developers to follow. Good Luck!

The J2EE deployments download on Source Forge contains a build.xml that will build a WAR for Tomcat 5.0. This does require ANT from Apache.
