View Full Version : Installation

I downloaded the quick start guide and demo file. Unzipped on my local desktop.

I do not have any application/web server running on port 8080. So after referring to QuickStart guide, I went stratight to start-pentaho.bat (windows platform), as I do not need to change the email settings at this point.

I double clicked the startup file (screen shot attached). Next when I try to access the URL http://localhost:8080/. - I get an error that page can not be displayed.

Can you help me resolve the issue...

thanks, ronak

Sorry about the trouble. It looks like your install path may have spaces in it. We have a known bug with this situation. Try copying the pentaho-demo to a directory without spaces or special characters.
