hi

sorry for the last post [ i have typed manything over there but nothng comes ]

OK lets say again

I am trying to give a parameter for the scheduled report on run time [ the name of the parameter was ' location ' and the report was designed on BIRT ]

so i set that as follows on the JobSchedulerComponent

jobDetail.getJobDataMap().put("location", context.getInputParameterStringValue(LOCATION));

abd i got that in quartzExcecute as

SimpleParameterProvider parameterProvider = new SimpleParameterProvider( parameters );

parameterProvider.setParameter("location",context.getJobDetail().getJobDataMap().getString("location").toString());

if(parameterProvider.getParameter("location") != null)

{

System.out.println("LOCATION :"+parameterProvider.getParameter("location"));

}

this is what i am expecting but this was not going to the report as the input i got the following error on the console

17:51:00,060 INFO [QuartzExecute] Triggered sample at: 12 Dec, 2005 : 5:51:00 PM

Hi Siva,

I can't see your action file, can you repost it please?
Does the server.log file located in $PENTAHO_HOME/jboss/server/default/log/ contain more information about your error?

Regards
Florian

Hi,

can you attach your QuartzExecute.java and your scheduler_airfare_savings.action.xml file to a post?

Hi Siva,

You are missing the input definitions for the component

e.g.

org.pentaho.component.SQLLookupRule

etc.

You should then be able to use the location in your query by adding {location} to your SQL 'where' clause

hi

I have seen your response .
I have a step ahad to go
b'coz that location if i have give as a filtering criteria in the query ,
then a person [ SAY ACCOUNTS HEAD ]
from the location say USA has to see the reports on all location say
USA , AUSTRALIA etc ....
onthis sinario i can't give that as a filtering criteria but i need that

one more case i have to give the "start date" and "end date" without that the scheduled reports has nothing special ....

can you please check this for me and refer me ...

I have seen solution-id and instance-id,

in the file shark-email-report.action.xml . I think these are runtime things set on QuartzExcecute.java file

BaseRequestHandler requestHandler = new BaseRequestHandler( session, null, outputHandler, parameterProvider, null );

requestHandler.setInstanceId( instanceId );

requestHandler.setProcessId( processId );

requestHandler.setAction( actionPath, actionName );

requestHandler.setSolutionName( solutionName );

can i use like that..

regards,
siva

Hi,

Currently start and stop dates for simple triggers are not implemented.

Start and stop dates for scheduling of simple triggers will appear in a future release. Please consult our roadmap for further information and timelines of when this could occur.

Thanks for using the Pentaho BI platform.
