I need to create some new cubes so I thought I'd give the workbench a whirl. I see that it includes Eclipse. I already have Eclipse 3.1 on my machine and would rather not have two installations so

1) How about simply providing the plug-in without the complete Eclipse package?

2) Will there be any issues if I simply copy org.pentaho.workbench.editors.actionsequence_1.1.3.107 over to eclipse\\plugins?

Thanks,

Seth

Hi,

There's already an Eclipse plugin. Take a look in the download area (http://www.pentaho.org/download/latest.html).
You can read more about it on the Pentaho_Design_Studio_1.1.3.pdf.

another plugin that is pretty that's handy is the mondrian scheme editor plugin for elcipse. It beats trying to write all that xml by hand and will also validate it for you as well. It might be something good to include a link for download from the DL page of pentaho.

you can get it from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=58645&package_id=120580
it's part of the jpivot project.
you just need to make user you flow the directions here:
http://jpivot.sourceforge.net/mondrian-schema/index.html

it's just a thought.
