When you run an kettle transformation, the result = success, even when the transformation fails. In my case it failed because of a missing JDBC class. http://forums.pentaho.org/archived_att/files/zcwms921.log

Thanks,

We created a JIRA case for this:

http://jira.pentaho.org:8080/jira/browse/PLATFORM-400

We think we have a fix for this.

Can you replace the KettleComponent.class in ~/jboss/server/default/deploy/pentaho.war/WEB-INF/classes/org/pentaho/plugin/kettle

With the attached one, restart the server (or touch the web.xml) and see if the problem is fixed?

Thanks

James

I downloaded the pentaho_jar-1.2.0.358-RC2.zip file from ftp://community.pentaho.org/server/1.2.0/test/build_358/dist/

I have extracted the KettleComponent.class and replaced it with the original one. After rebooting the server, i still had the same problem. http://forums.pentaho.org/archived_att/files/zcwms921.txt

Sorry, my mistake. I had problems attaching the class file. The class file is attached (zipped) to the JIRA case and to this post.

The fix indeed returns an error when the JDBC driver jar file is not found, but it also does this when the JDBC driver is present. Conclusion nothing works any more. Also, you do no longer see any messages saying that the JDBC driver is missing.

Sorry, my mistake, you also need this class file, which goes in the same directory as the KettleComponent.class

Thank you for your help and patience on this.
