Hi!

Is this file pentaho-demo-1.2.0.470-RC3.noarch.rpm (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/pentaho/pentaho-demo-1.2.0.470-RC3.noarch.rpm?download ) corruped ?
I try 3 different locations for download and every time is the same result:

rpm -Uvh pentaho-demo-1.2.0.470-RC3.noarch.rpm
error: pentaho-demo-1.2.0.470-RC3.noarch.rpm: headerRead failed: region trailer: BAD, tag 1886151028 type 1697579055 offset -1869640751 count 1885695604
error: pentaho-demo-1.2.0.470-RC3.noarch.rpm cannot be installed

Looks like it is.
You can download a recent build from

ftp://community.pentaho.org/server/1.2.0.RC3/test/build_475/dist/pentaho_demo-1.2.0.475-RC3.zip
(replace 'build_475' by a newer one, if available).

Unzip, go to the 'pentaho-demo' folder, and make the startup scripts executable by issuing:

find . -name "*.sh" -exec chmod +x {} \\;

You can then start the server by launching the 'start-pentaho.sh' script.

Come back here if you have problems...

Yes, the RC3 rpm was corrupted. We reposted a good rpm.
