When I run the demo from the jfreereport-0.7.4 directory, this is the message I get. Any insights!

Exception in thread "main" java.util.zip.ZipException: The system cannot find th

oh, yes, I relalized that the README contains a bug. The
"java -jar start-demo.jar" command has to be started from the libs directory.

I'll fix it today in the cvs. For a deltailed answer have a look at:

I have the same problem:

your problem may be related to the fact, that files from version 0.8.4 are never named with 0.8.3.

Instead of trying to run a non-existent jar file (from the previous version), have a look into your jfreereport folder and you'll find a "jfreereport.0.8.4_6-demo.jar". Start this one and it will work.

When reading the documentation for version 0.8.3, please keep in mind, that the 0.8.3-release is totally incompatible with the 0.8.4 release, as all classes moved into the org.jfree.* package space.
