View Full Version : Version 0.7.6 is released in the wild

JFreeReport has finally evolved into a new version. The most important changes are the new PDF features with support for encryption and security, a better PDF-Save dialog for more comfortable saving of PDF-Files, support for expressions (small stateless functions; see report1 & 3 for examples), unified data access within a function by using the DataRow-object for accessing other Functions, Expression and the DataSource-columns through a single interface.

The PageFormat can now be defined in the ReportHeader, "leonlyong" wrote the solution here in the forum, thanks again!

The new release also fixes a lot of bugs, unicode support was still not complete, now all fonts will support the unicode encoding in PDF. An evil memory leak was fixed in this version, all previous versions are affected to this one, so please upgrade. The PreviewFrames were never GarbageCollected, so if you print a lot, you'll run out of memory.

For a complete list of changes have a look at the change log.
The next version will have the layouting rewritten, so stay tuned :)

Have more fun,

Hi Thomas,

Good work. I plan to have an update for the documentation during this week.
