Hi,
First of all, congratulations for mondrian! It is excellent! I'm using it into production with oracle.
Does mondrian work on firebird database?
I tried, but I got the following error:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Internal error: while counting members of level '[Tempo].[Ano]'; sql=[select count(*) as "c0" from (select distinct "T_TEMPO"."ANO" as "c0" from "T_TEMPO" as "T_TEMPO") as "init"]

I tried to execute the query in firebird database and i got the message:
"Unable to executa query, GDS Exception. Dynamic SQL Error
SQL error code = -104
Token unkown - line 1, char 31
select"
Thanks in advance

Hello
I am trying to use Firebird and I am getting the same error. Firebird does nor support selects in the from clause :o\
I think that I need to modify the way Mondrian builds the queries, but I do not know where to start (I am really new to Mondrian).
Any ideas? Any help will be very appreciated! :o)

J

There was a discussion about Mondrian and Firebird a few days ago. Since Firebird supports neither compound count distinct (e.g. "select count(distinct x,y) from t") or select-in-from (e.g. "select count(*) from (select distinct x,y from t))") I'm afraid Mondrian can't run on it.

I am very interested on getting it to work. Where can I get more detailed information on Mondrian so I can understand the internals? UML doc would be perfect (apart from reverse-engineering for class diagrams).
