Bonjour Amine,

Please file a bug report for this.
If you would be so kind, could you also tell us something about the environment you're running (OS, JRE, Kettle version) and the XML of the Text File Input step.

While you're at it, try the dev version by downloading kettle.jar here: kettje.jar (http://www.javaforge.com/proj/doc/details.do?doc_id=3719) (follow instructions)

Chances are very good that your problem has already been fixed.

Thank you in advance for the feedback.

Kind regards,

Matt

Thank you for your answer, I m so pleased to use an open source ETL.

These are informations about my environnment :
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)
Microsoft Windows XP version 5.1.2600[img]/wiki/images/newpage.gif ("")
Kettle-2.2.2

I must find solutions to all problems that I have with kettle, be cause I must fill my database before the end of the next week (I have presentation). or else I gonna use some java programs jsut to do so, and after that I can take my time (tow months) to solve problems.anyway, I appreciate all features that kettle offers.

I'm sure you'll do fine with the latest dev snapshot. I'm very pleased about it as it's pretty stable.

Text File Input is probably the most used and altered step in Kettle.

The problem you encountered was solved by audinchan, one of the Chinese developers.
