The reason I ask is that SQL Server Personal Edition (8.00.194 (RTM)) may have an issue under KETTLE. When I attempt to use a table input step to retrieve a column which is of type float or decimal KETTLE interprets the field as an integer.

Hi Marc,

all versions of MS SQL including 2005 are supported - but:

There is a generall issue with the handling of float and some decimals. This concerns all DBs, we are solving this soon.

Thanks for the feedback,
Jens

Hi Matt,

just added a KETTLE - Tracker: Change Request - [# 2035] Optimize field type conversion of DECIMAL, DOUBLE, FLOAT, REAL, NUMERIC

Cheers,
Jens

There is a work around for this in the meantime. Cast the float values to VARCHAR in the SQL statement.
