If VS2005 means Visual Studio 2005, then the answer is clearly: No. Some time ago Microsoft decided to ignore Java (after some failed attempts to gain control over it) and to write their own toy (called .NET or so). The Java-Capabilities of .NET are still stuck at JDK 1.1.6 - and they are no longer allowed to call it Java anymore so they have to call it J#). The Report Designer requires at least JDK 1.5 to work and I haven't heard of successfull integrations of Java-GUI applications into .NET applications.

On the server-side, you definitly have a bit more luck if you use WebServices for the integration. But still, this requires you to setup a Java-Application-server (or at least a Servlet-Container like Apache Tomcat) to run the Java-code.

Have fun,
