Is it possible to have thresholds lines on charts. For examlple if my y-axis for a bar chart is from 0 to 100 then I want a horizontal line around at 70 which may signify that values above this range are above a certained defined level.

I'm sorry but the short answer is no. The pentaho charting plugin currently doesn't support what you are asking for.

These lines (or even rectangles that define areas of interest in a chart) are called Range and Domain markers. The one that you're looking for would be a range marker. The JFreeChart engines that ships with the Pentaho BI platform does support these type of charts. However, we haven't yet exposed this through the plugin.

This is a very much needed enhancement so I've created a JIRA case that will be scheduled though our normal enhancement processes. Reference the JIRA case below

Are range markers supported yet? I can't find them in Pentaho Report Designer.
