View Full Version : User preferences with svmLight

I'm quite new in SVM and I am trying to work in a project that learns the user preferences with the SVM. I read a lot of stuff and I saw that I can use SVMlight (that I downloaded from http://www.cs.cornell.edu/People/tj/svm_light/) for learning the user preferences from pairwise. I am trying to compile

svm_learn -z p example/train.dat example/model
svm_classify example/test.dat example/model example/predictions

but it always gives me some numbers that doesn't fit with what I need...
My train data are user preferences related to what the user inputs for scheduling an appointment in his agenda...

Anyone has any suggestion?
Thanks a lot in advance

I think it's a forum about weka and not SVMlight so you might check SVMLight website ...
moreover if you want a good practical tutorial for begginers in SVM read the one of libSVM:
