I am trying to install preconfigured Pentaho MySQL demo suite.

I have downloaded Suite, and executed mysql script.

When I am trying to start ./start-pentaho.sh

I am getting following error:

log4j:ERROR Failed to create directory structure: /home/klemen/Desktop/pentaho-demo/jboss/server/default/log
log4j:ERROR setFile(null,false) call failed.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/klemen/Desktop/pentaho-demo/jboss/server/default/log/boot.log (No such file or directory)

java.io.IOException: No such file or directory

however, there is file jboss-service.xml in
there are also other missing files

so server shutdowns

Does anybody knows what would be problem?

p.s. I have installed Sun Java SDK 1.5

I'm guessing, but from your error report, the problem might be related to directory permissions.

Try either relaxing the write permissions or running the start script as teh root user.
