Hello, Pentaho Team

I am a Salesforce.com certified consultant and would like to know if Pentaho's ETL has a connector to integrate Salesforce.com with ERPs.

I am not a programmer and would like to start getting my hands dirty with integrations and migrations.

You probably already know that the underlying Data Base on which Salesforce.com operates is Oracle. Also, SFDC has an API.

I am looking for an easy to use tool that will enable me to map a number of tables/fields/rows between 2 databases. With a clear and grafical ETL and with an already made connector to Salesforce.com database so I do not have to learn the SFDC API.

Does Pentaho have a Connector with Salesforce.com?
Does Pentaho have other connectore with the well known DataBases? (MS-SQLSERVER, MYSQL, ORACLE, Informix, etc.?) or, even better, with wellknown applications such as Sugar CRM, SAP, vtiger, Peoplesoft, siebel, etc.?

Also, is there a User Guide for non technical consultant (not programmer)?

Thank you very much.

yeah what you are looking for is Kettle. It will allow you to do ETL stuff over a very large range of databases including Oracle.

You can find more about Kettle here (http://kettle.pentaho.org), and the docs are here. (http://wiki.pentaho.org/display/EAI/Latest+Pentaho+Data+Integration+%28aka+Kettle%29+Documentation;jsessionid=EC20423B920C4910DF7DB6A9CDAAB245)

There is also more docs on the sourceforge project page and included in the downloaded package.

Hope that helps

Tom
