Hi,

i am trying get Pentaho working on an oracle 10g based repository dbsolution.File based is no problem. I get always an expection what i think has to do that Pentaho is not able to store the Domain model in the db.

There are property files for metadata in pentaho-solutions/system/metadata/ do i need to have some for oracle i found nothing about that in the wiki?

I try to get this working since 1 week, but wiki is a mess, when i get everything done i will share some nice instructions with you.

Best regards

David

David, I think you can copy PostgreSQL.properties to repository.properties in the jdbc/ folder.
Then I'm sure you need to change a few things:

# data type mappings...
MDRStorageProperty.org.netbeans.mdr.persistence.jdbcimpl.datatype.mofid=NUMBER
MDRStorageProperty.org.netbeans.mdr.persistence.jdbcimpl.datatype.streamable=BLOB
MDRStorageProperty.org.netbeans.mdr.persistence.jdbcimpl.datatype.string=VARCHAR2(2000)
MDRStorageProperty.org.netbeans.mdr.persistence.jdbcimpl.datatype.int=NUMBER

Play around with the settings in that file, I'm sure you'll get it to work :-)
