Hi,

I am very new to clustering and Weka. Now I am working on clustering products with Weak based on sales, profits, and profitmargin. So far, I want to know which model would be good for my project. In the mean time, I have tried with SimpleKMean model, but I am not sure what does the result mean. Does any one has suggestions where I vould find an explaination for the result?

Thanks,
Alan

Well, I'm afraid choosing a clustering algorithm and interpreting the results is not a matter of following a couple of fixed rules. Nothing in data mining is, I would dare to say :P

You have to understand the algorithms (including all possible parameters), understand your data, see some examples and try to decide which model works best for your case.

I would recommend reading some stuff on clustering first, in case you haven't already. Here's a good introductory link:

Also a great reference is the Weka book, of course ;)

Cheers!

Alright, thank you very much. Guess I'll start from the basic:o
