View Full Version : Customizing 2.0 platform

I've been tasked with migrating a bunch of data within spreadsheets into a web application that can generate a bunch of fancy reports. So I think I'll be utilizing a lot of Pentaho soon.

But I'm wondering is there a way and if so how to integrate a custom jsp page or a portlet within the latest 2.0 platform?

I’m asking because there is some external data that has to be maintained for this application, like a table of rates/prices, a list of companies and other items. So I want the users to be able to create/update/delete some of this data instead of me doing it manually.

This can be handled with a set of portlets likely. So does anyone have any ideas?

Whats stopping you adding a new jsp to the JSP directory then?

I was hoping that there was a way to integrate some custom pages that can be linked to and displayed from within the User Console.

But nothing is stopping me from adding a new JSP to the pentaho WAR. So far that seems like the only solution.

Well the Community Dashboard Framework does just that, perhaps you could take that as a starting point

Ok thanks, I'll start there.
