Pentaho has been working for a while to get to the place where we can expose continuous integration builds to the community. We are finally there. Check it out and let's see what you think and if you think it will be helpful for you cutting edge folks.

It provides continuous building of our community projects including a complete biserver-ce (bleeding edge) distrition (see BISERVER-CE project).

PS. not all projects are up and running at the moment but we hope to have them all soon

I have no idea what this is, but it sure sounds fun and useful :)

It looks really useful. I like the way it lets you know what's working and what's not. It also lets us know what is being changed and updated which is very cool.

nice work.

Hi,

am I understandig it right that at least for testing I don't have to wait anymore for a new build on Sourceforge (or creating my own build) but I can just use the last build on http://ci.pentaho.com (http://ci.pentaho.com/) ?

Benjamin

EDIT: I just tried it out and it worked (beside some error messages starting the PUC) :) You fixed most of the bugs I had problems with in RC1. This platform is great!

I think its a great idea to provide a refreshing snapshot of the platform and the other stuff
it allows easier access to trunk versions than checking out the source and building it yourself

it also gives us (who will likely continue checking out svn) the possibilty to see if the trunk of the project is broken :-)

You can certainly use the builds directly from Hudson, of course the disclaimer there is this is the knife's edge of development, don't expect it to be stable in any sense of the word :)

For those who have not worked in a CI environment before: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuous_Integration

Major thanks to Aaron and Build Team Pentaho for a lot of work standing up these environments.

What happened to the CI environment? Can't see any projects there anymore because its asking to log in...
