Dears all,

I want to use IBk (which implements the K-nearest neighbour algorithm) in Weka. I have a set of classified examples (S1), and another with the class not known (S2). I want to use the IBk algortihm to classify the istances for which I don't know the corresponding class.

The question is: do I have to run the IBk for S1 and then with the supply test set option to select S2, so that the algorithm can add the predicted class to S2? Or do I have to join in a single data set both the already classified and not classified instances, and run IBk once?

Thank you very much

Well, once you find the model you like, you can save it:

http://weka.wiki.sourceforge.net/Saving+and+loading+models

and then use it to make predictions with your new data set:

http://weka.wiki.sourceforge.net/Making+predictions

Cheers!
