Currently metaadata editor helps to configure queries with table columns against values.

eg: amount > 5.00 or date < '2009-04-01' etc.

but how can two columns of same table or different table be compared.

eg: bonus_date > joining_date

the query editor forces you to enter text after the comparator, but you could also type in a reference to the business view + business column if you know the ids:

[BT_CUSTOMERS.BC_CUSTOMERS_CUSTOMERNAME]

In Ad hoc, you can also write free form open formula, you would also need the view and column ids to use that.

Dear Will,

Do you mean, while writing an ad hoc report throug web interface? Can I create formulas using any column I want? That would be 'kicking awesome! :-D Can I do this? Any hint on the syntax (just to spare me dabbling with WAQR a couple of hours trying to figure it out...)

Best regards,
