hi,

I'm trying to understand now what's the difference between the mondrian and the metadata? aside from how they are built, their concept is almost the same.

thanks!

They both present a logical layer to the business user, Mondrian / OLAP presents a multidimensional logical layer allowing business users the ability to do analysis with the data. Metadata makes relational reporting easier for business users who may not know SQL, through Pentaho's Adhoc reporting tool and Pentaho Report Designer.

Hope that helps,

Will
