Hi,
I have one dimensional date table that is used for some of my fact tables. I created a metadata model with all the relationships etc, and in the business view I created following categories that relate to this dimensional table, but to different fact tables:
- Registration data (user table)
- Login date (login table)
- Messaging date (messaging table)

On each of the categories I dropped the values of the dimensional table:
- year
- quarter
- month
- week
etc

So, as didn't specify it, the problems is that it treats the date values all the same in any category, because it doesn't know to which table it is linked.
So how can I specify this? I.E. The registration date category has to know that it should use the relationship between user table and date dimension table. How do I do this?

Thanks,
Diddy

Hi Diddy,

Maybe you could try creating repeated business tables of the same physical table, but joined differently? Give that a try and let me know if it works for you.
