I can't dispaly french accented character é in pdf report using the user console.

I have made a test report with PRD 3.5, and i have a message and subreport tittle that contains accented character like é.
When I execute my report in PRD the accented character é is displayed well both in html and pdf format.
I publish this report in pentaho server 3.5, when I execute it in the user console the charater é is displayed without problem in html format, but it isn't dispalyed in pdf format.
Can any body help me to resolve this problem.

1. Check the pdf encoding is a suitable encoding i.e. UTF-8
2. Check the font your using definately supports those characters.

Thank you for answer,

I have used Arial font family instead of Serif font family and it's works well.

it is possible to embed the font into the pdf too, so that if you find a serif font that you really want to use, then you can do.

(we're on solaris, and we had to install Tahoma to make that work properly.)

You will need to set to true the embed property I think (see screenshot). I also wanted to say that you need to install the right fonts on the server where the user console is running (I had a lot problems with displaying "é" or "à" characters. When I asked my admin sys, we resolved this problem by installing new font on the server).
