View Full Version : get the code (svn) via https

02-12-2010, 04:02 AM
Hi, I have tried to browse the Pentaho SVN server via http with my browser, and i can see the pages and the code, but if I try to connect it via https I can't see the pages or the code.

I must use https because I'm back a proxy that does not support the svn commands.

Is there a server from wich I can get the SVN code via https?

Is there another way?

Thank you

why not checkout via http??

Because I'm behind a proxy server that does not support the SVN Commands (PROPFIND, REPORT, MERGE, MKACTIVITY, CHECKOUT...)used also if I use the http protocol, insteased the svn protocol.

I have tried to get the code with subeclipse or TortoiseSVN via http and I can't.

I have tried with other projects that have enabled the https on their SVN Server and I can get the code with HTTPS because the proxy not see the commands.

Yeah well if it hasn't got a SSL Cert it wont work. I checkout over http though cause I'm behind a firewall

Im behind a PROXY (also behind a Firewall, but mainly behind a Proxy) that has the problems I have listed.

I don't thik that it is a certificate problem: I have this error

Not Found

The requested URL /svnroot/ was not found on this server.
Apache/2.0.52 (Red Hat) Server at source.pentaho.org Port 443

...if I try to connect https://source.pentaho.org/svnroot/

They must maybe modify the apache server configuration file httpd.conf as described here http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/ssl/ in order to enable the https support.

Why not ask your sys admin nicely ;)

Ok, I've solved using SQUID as Proxy Web.
But i hope that in future you enable the https function for the svn souce code's pentaho server.

Thank you:)
