Hi Guys ,
I am facing issues while trying to publish a report using HADOOP HIVE as a database.
I am using “prd-ce-linux-bigdata-preview-3.8.tar.gz” & used HADOOP HIVE connection.

Data from Hive is coming properly on report designer as PDF output but whenever I am trying to publish this report over Pentaho BI server No data is rendering on fronend.

I copied “hive-XXXX-0.7.0-pentaho-SNAPSHOT.jar files in to tomcat lib.

But still it is giving the error on pentaho.log like :

2012-02-13 11:37:40,299 ERROR [org.pentaho.platform.util.logging.Logger] misc-org.pentaho.platform.engine.services.connection.datasource.dbcp.PooledDatasourceSystemListener: PooledDatasourceSystemListener.ERROR_0003 - Unable to pool datasource object: SQLSERVER caused by java.sql.SQLException: Network error IOException: Connection refused

To avoid this warning, make sure that all data-sources are properly configured and that no report references illegal queries.

I am not sure whether I am missing any step or I am doing any thing wrong ?
Is there any other step is also required to go ahead. ?
Kindly help me out ASAP.

The Hive JDBC driver also requires hadoop-core, hive-exec, hive-metadata, and hive-service jars. Make sure you copy those over too. Our next release of the BI Server will contain all the necessary jars so this works out of the box without any modifications.

Also, if your datasource is backed by metadata you'll need to make sure you have the pentaho-big-data-plugin installed in your BI Server at: $BISERVER_HOME/pentaho-solutions/system/kettle/plugins/pentaho-big-data-plugin. You may need to create the plugins folder.
