    Default Group / Organize Degenerate Dimensions

    I have a fact table that has several Degenerate dimensions and I'm trying to find out if there is a way to organize them under a single "grouping". For example my fact table has 3 Degenerate dimensions (milestone a, milestone b, milestone c).

    Currently in Analyzer Report I have 3 Headings (Milestone a - c) with the dimensions (milestone a - c) under their respective heading. What I'd like to do is simply have a heading of "milestones" with a-c dimensions below this.

    Sample of current monderin

    Code:
    <Dimension highCardinality="false" name="Milestone: A">
          <Hierarchy hasAll="true">
            <Level name="MS: A" column="ms_return_d1" type="String" uniqueMembers="true" levelType="Regular" hideMemberIf="Never">
            </Level>
          </Hierarchy>
        </Dimension>
        <Dimension highCardinality="false" name="Milestone: B">
          <Hierarchy hasAll="true">
            <Level name="MS: B" column="ms_return_d3" type="String" uniqueMembers="true" levelType="Regular" hideMemberIf="Never">
            </Level>
          </Hierarchy>
        </Dimension>
        <Dimension highCardinality="false" name="Milestone: C">
          <Hierarchy hasAll="true">
            <Level name="MS: C" column="ms_return_d7" type="String" uniqueMembers="true" levelType="Regular" hideMemberIf="Never">
            </Level>
          </Hierarchy>
        </Dimension>
    I've tried simply naming each Dimension name the same, 'Milestones' but this causes errors. Any help on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    You could create 3 hierarchies within the same dimension.

    Alternatively, if you are using Pentaho Analyzer, you can define "business groups". They are roughly equal to groups for the UI.

    Thanks so much! This was exactly what we needed.

    On a side note, is it possible to also tell dimensions to be displayed in a particular order? In the column on the right in the analyzer report.

    Currently we have:
    Retention Day 1
    Retention Day 120
    Retention Day 3

    The preferred display:
    Retention Day 1
    Retention Day 3
    Retention Day 120

    Thanks again!
