Question How to debug custom pentaho plugin within pentahoBI by setting breakpoint

    Hi Everyone,

    I am a java developer.

I want to know how to debug my own pentaho plugin within pentaho by set breakpoint in my plugin sourcecode.

I found pentaho is only read plugin jars from pentaho-solutions\system\<plugin-name>\lib\ . Is it possible that make pentahoBI read plugin src ?

My pentaho BI platform is 5.2.0.0.209.

    Please help me out!

Yes. Which IDE are you using?

I'm using CBF[1] for the builds. In IntelliJ I think I just set up the pentaho source as one module and my plugin as another. I've hacked around with CBF's build.xml so it compiles my plugin copies it to the right dir under pentano-solutions. Then I attached the debugger to the running tomcat instance all it all just worked.
