Default Error on login remote repository via spoon

    Hi

Tried to login remote repository using generic userid passwd (joe/*******) and getting below error.
    org.pentaho.di.core.exception.KettleException:
There was an error logging into the repository. Make sure that the repository is available at the specified URL and the DI-Server and Spoon are on the same release.

Can you connect to the remote host & port f.e. by using telnet?

    Thanks
Yes , I can connect via telnet and my colleague can login with generic userid(joe) to remote host from his spoon installed on windows machine .
Can create local repository on windows(v7) and perform all tasks. Only issue when I connect to remote host.
    Waiting for valued suggestions.
