Default Connection to 32 bits odbc driver

I work with pdi 4.3 on a Windows 64 bits machine. I have to make a connection to a foxpro database that only has a 32 bits odbc driver. I make a 32 bits odbc connection on my machine but pdi 4.3 is looking to the 64 bits odbc connections so it don't recognize the 32 bits odbc connection name.
When I use PDI 3.2 on the same machine I can make an odbc connection.
Is there a possibility that pdi 4.3 can look at the 32 bits odbc connections ?

    Hi,

well, I think you could just install a 32bit JDK/JRE on the 64bit machine and then make PDI run using the 32bit java...
However, you will then not be able to use the 64bit advantages like a JVM using +2 GByte RAM for example.

After successfully installing the 32bit Java, just set JAVA_HOME and PATH accordingly or modify the "set-pentaho-env.bat" file to point to the 32bit Java.

    HTH,

    Tom

    Hi

I tried already to install java 32 bits but when I than start up PDI I get the message
“Error : Could not create Java Virtual Machine
Error : A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit”
Tried then to do the same on another Windows64 bits and then the solution to use a java 32 bits version worked.
