    Exclamation Multiple Variable, or multiple parameters is possible?

    Hi all,
    I need to some parametric queries (and not only queries) on a DB and I need to do the query with some parameters ( variables ) read on DB.

    I show an example.

    I have a table with 3000 brands name, the table has simply the follow structure:

    +------------------------+
    | ID | BrandsName |
    +------------------------+

    | 1 | Philips |
    +------------------------+
    +------------------------+
    | 2 | Pentaho |
    +------------------------+
    +------------------------+
    | 3 | kettle |
    +------------------------+
    +------------------------+
    | 4 | MyComp ltd |
    +------------------------+
    |.. |
    |... |
    |.... |
    +------------------------+
    | 3000 | etc.... |
    +------------------------+

    So, what i need is excecute a transformation with a variable, example ${Brandsname} set up for each value of the table.

    For example the single tansforma do some like this.

    1. Select * from prpduct where manufacturer = ${BrandName}
    2. Read From a file and filter row where field brand in the file is equals to ${BrandName}
    3. Exectute some transform with parameter ${BrandName}

    So I have to do this for all value of brand name that are all t-uple read on the SQL Table.

    How can I do the transform for each differente value of brand Name? Is possible set up the variable value different time and call the transform every time with a different value?

    Please help me with an example and clear, I'm new as Kettle user and I've difficult to manage easy all step of Kettle.

    Regards
    Gaetano.

    It would be easy to loop over all the values in a job.

    Ok, thanks you so much
    but can you explain me how to do it, or maybe where I can found an example. Just an example job, I need each parameter(variable) the same for all transformation and use it in different step, also "filter row step".
