Default Kettle - Spoon 4.2.1 : Sending Emails using Gmail credintials...

    Dear All,
I'm trying to send email notifications via Kettle jobs (in Kettle-Spoon 4.2.1) using my gmail credentials. I've set the SMTP server/port/authentication as described in http://support.google.com/mail/bin/a...n&answer=13287

But I couldn't get through..!! Here are the related screenshots!!

    Please advise me..

    Thanks,
    Suresh.

The send mail step needs this information in the rowset. In other words, if you can't select the field of the rowset in the dropdown box - it will not work if you type anyting else in there. Try with using a "add constants" step before with these values - or choose another way to feed in this information.

    Hi,
Thanks for your comment. But what I'm here using is, loading the Email parameters from an excel file, and assigning the values to the email job. Since I want to change the email recipients and contents frequently, I just need to update the excel file rather editing the job.

Here is the screen-shot of the excel fields (columns) which are appearing in the drop-down selection.

I've hard-coded the smtp credentials in the email job, still getting the same error..

    Any solutions?

    Thanks.

    Hey there.

Gmail uses TLS and not SSL to do the authentication.
also your gmail must have the IMAP turned on.
by default it will be turned off.
