Thread: mondrian does not use aggregate tables

  1. #1

    Default mondrian does not use aggregate tables

    i defined some aggregates on a dimension with high cardinality with pad .
    always with pad i have exported the mondrian schema .
    despite having used ad hoc query mondrian does not use the aggregate tables ( i see this from the log file mondrian_sql.log )
    how can i understand why mondrian does not use the aggregate tables ?
    another strange thing is that pad reports a very high number of lines compared to the real number of rows of the aggregate tables
    I did the tests with 2.4 Saiku plugin on pentaho 4.8 .
    thanks for any answer

    Default

    solved ,
    I did not know that the management of aggregate tables should be explicitly enabled

    mondrian.properties:

    # Allow the use of aggregates
    mondrian.rolap.aggregates.Use=true
    mondrian.rolap.aggregates.Read=true
