    Default Database and loosing datasources

    Hi all,
I'm using CDE for dashboards. Sometimes, not knowing when, the database connection is lost. That means e.g. I'm going into dashboard and no data can be shown. Then I have to go to datasources, click in the row where jndi is saved and click enter(this needs to be done for all sources) Save and dashboard works.
When it happens, I can not define - sometimes after deleting cache, sometimes deployment of new dashboard and it happened ones without any change.

Have you any idea? Thanks a lot for any creative ideas.

No - this makes no sense at all! just by opening the dashboard doesn't change the source of it.

We have some situation where the label on jndi or catalog (for mdx) gets lost, but that's a small visual bug, nothing like that!

Please dig into it a bit more. Look at server logs, look at .cda files and eventually diff .cdfde files. I'm sure something else is happening there (some db timeout or so)

    Just a wild guess:
MySQL using the native MySQL-JDBC Driver?
This one disconnects after 8 hours uptime of the BI-platform...
If this is applicable to your situation, you might think about switching to C3PO driver: http://wiki.pentaho.com/display/Serv...ring+for+MySQL

    Cheers,
