    Hello sidukas,

I check the logs, and i llok i had an error which can't find the domain. I read in other posts that you must give in the MetaDataReport Conection the Name of de Domain is the same as the name of the folder of the solution . For example if i publish my metadata(File:Company.xmi Model: MODEL_1)in sample-data i'll put in the box Domain Id/ Bi-Server Solution Name sample-data. But continue give the same error.

    I'll continue prove other ideas.

I 'll prove more changes, names models and xmi, pemission and i dont' have any result. But i look something important. In report Adhoc i dont' visualize the metadata i publish. why i don't know. When i publish the xmi i don't look any error.

I'm not using any query in in business model.
I just creating business model using tables and want to display 2 columns where I have 3 columns from the table.
i.e, I want to hide the column B but I don't wanna delete column B from the business table.

    Thanks

I new in Business Model(MetaDataEditor) too.

In report Designer you can edit the query(like sintax of xml) of xmi file you add. when you add the MetaData.

Or you'll prove the part the Roles, it' s an idea i'm not sure about this.

    Hello

    User:Sidukas said to me this:
    chek the log bi-server/tomcat/logs/catalina.out

When i publish a report designer working with metaDataEditor connection.

I'll look at and search other ideas. But i think something wrong i do with metaData Editor i don't know if it os the permission or... Cause in ad hoc report I don' t look the models (files xmi) i publish with metaDataEditor .

The conclusion for me is when i publish a model metaEditor correctly in my bi server. I think i'm being more near of the solution i need.

I search other things if i'll find my error i publish it, but i very gratefull for some help me.

    Thanks.

Hello i find my problem. the name of the xmi file MUST BE metadata.xmi.

Then i explain what will you do if you publish a metadata.

    First create a new Domain.
    Create a Connection (JDBC/JNDI) .
    Import the tables.
    Generate the Security:
    Name de bi Server(http:\\localhost:8080\pentaho) +\ServiceAction.
    What security will you import(All/Users/Roles)
Input the Business models and Business Views
Is important assign the correct permission
Finally publish it(password of publisher is the file of bi biserver-ce\pentaho-solutions\system\publisher_config.xml)
Important: 1-Name of the xmi file must be metadata.xmi
    2-One metadataFile for solution directory
3- I read is possible to do more than one file. Forget it if your new in this like me XD.
